My friends on Maui said the flowers were beautiful, even though they were 2 days late AND I didn’t receive the phone call to wait for flowers to come in or send a substitute of orchids, until the day AFTER they were supposed to arrive. Billy Irvine, who grows plants & flowers in Makawao, who received the flowers explained that lilys & roses are not a regular stocked items and most customers are visiting/tourists who want exotic Hawaiian flowers. I wanted something that expressed Sympathy more, due to their loss. I did not want a plant that would would have needed to be cared for and last long. When someone dies, especially your child, you don’t want something that takes your time to maintain, nor look at them for a long time since they are a reminder of your loss. Thank you for the flowers that you did send. Like I said, Billy said they were beautiful.
